(a) After selecting the manual automatic voltage regulation (the automatic position has been set at the factory) through the button in the above picture, close the input air switch QF2 (INPUT Breaker), and then the voltage regulator is connected to the power supply to complete the input power supply power-on test.

(b) The meter on the front panel can check the input voltage, output voltage, and output current.

(c) The switch after closing the voltage regulator and the output air switch QF3 (OUTPUT Breaker) are closed, and the voltage regulator supplies power to the bus normally.

(d) Manual mode can be selected; When the manual voltage regulation method is selected, the manual boost or buck button on the jogging control board can adjust the required output voltage.

1. Isolation Transformer (Available in professionally customized models):
An isolation transformer is a transformer used to electrically isolate the input winding from the output winding, so as to avoid the danger caused by accidentally touching a live body (or a metal part that may be charged due to insulation damage) and the ground at the same time.
2. Voltage Regulating Transformer:
The voltage regulating transformer is a single-phase autotransformer that can automatically adjust the secondary voltage. It has two pairs of brushes that can slide automatically and symmetrically. The servo motor drives the brushes through a transmission mechanism to slide along the exposed part (on the slide way) of the cylindrical winding of the autotransformer, smoothly adjusting the secondary voltage to change the compensation voltage and maintain a stable output voltage.
3. Circuit Switching Device and Operating Circuit:
There are two control modes for the servo motor: "manual" and "automatic", which are selected by the membrane switch on the control panel. In the "manual" position, press and hold for 3 seconds to enter the manual operation state. To increase the output voltage, press the "Boost" button; to decrease the output voltage, press the "Buck" button. When the output voltage meets the requirements for power supply, the machine does not have the voltage stabilization function. When "automatic" is selected, the boost and buck detection units automatically control to realize "automatic" voltage stabilization work.
4. Voltage Detection and Regulation Unit:
The sampling control circuit on the detection and regulation printed circuit board takes the sampling voltage and control voltage from the output end of the voltage stabilizer. The control voltage is transformed, rectified, filtered, and stabilized, and then divided by a potentiometer to obtain the upper and lower limit reference voltages. The sampling voltage is transformed, rectified, and filtered to obtain a signal voltage that changes with the output voltage, which enters the comparator for comparison. When the change in output voltage exceeds the allowable range of the setting accuracy, the voltage detection issues a command to adjust the output voltage until the output voltage returns to the allowable range of the setting accuracy.
5. Over-limit Protection Device:
The automatic voltage compensation system is equipped with over-limit protection. The over-limit protection consists of limit switches. When the brush slides to both ends and hits the limit switch, its normally closed contact is disconnected, and the servo motor stops rotating.

S(D)BW-N column regulator is composed of single-phase voltage regulating transformer TYQ, voltage detection unit, servo motor control and transmission mechanism, contactor (or circuit breaker) operation circuit, protection circuit, etc. Its electrical schematic is shown in the figure.

The primary input of the voltage regulating transformer TYQ is a sliding adjustable contact brush, which is flexibly calculated and adjusted on the sliding coil through the sampling circuit, and the secondary output voltage is always controlled within the rated output range, so as to achieve the purpose of automatic voltage regulation. The working principle of its voltage regulation is shown in the figure.

The voltage regulation process is: according to the change of output voltage, the voltage detection unit samples, detects and outputs the signal to control the rotation of the servo motor M, drives the brush set on the voltage regulating transformer TYQ to slide (or roll), and adjusts the primary voltage of the voltage regulating transformer to follow the fluctuation of mains, so as to realize the automatic stabilization of the output voltage within the range allowed by the voltage regulation accuracy, so as to achieve the purpose of automatic voltage regulation.
