The KBL Kinbo series passive harmonic filter cabinet uses an LC filter circuit composed of filter capacitors, filter reactors, contactless switches, controllers, and protection systems as its main components. It operates in parallel with the harmonic source and is designed according to the characteristics, content, and presence of harmonic currents, as well as the reactive power of the system. The filter branch provides a low-impedance path for harmonic currents, allowing the majority of harmonic currents to be absorbed by the filter, significantly reducing the system's harmonic current injection and voltage distortion. Meanwhile, the device also provides capacitive reactive power to the system, improving the system's power factor. It is widely used in industries such as smelting, metallurgy, steel rolling, chemical, tire, wood, airports, ports, plastic pipes, oil fields, communications, and automobile manufacturing. It is suitable for nonlinear loads driven by DC motors or frequency-conversion motors, such as rolling mills, copper electrolysis, aluminum electrolysis, electroplating, medium-frequency melting furnaces, medium-frequency heating furnaces, rubber kneading machines, molding machines, and extrusion machines.
